Getting back on track… English Sounds Fun

So it has been a while, life flies by in a dizzy whirl and there is a lot to catch up on!  I’ve been busy with a number of projects which I will start to share over the next few days.

For over two years I have been working on English Sounds Fun, the fabulous brainchild of Dr Anne Margaret Smith and Anastasia Metallinou. It is the first teaching method designed for students with specific learning differences such as dyslexia, who are learning English as a foreign language. It is colourful and fun and already inspiring children to learn English with paper based, multimedia and tactile activities. Great care was taken in the design to make it both visually attractive and comforting to early readers as well as fun. I created the illustrations using mixed media digital collage, a great method for showing eggs with elephants, and city mice going to the cinema and many more unlikely combinations!
